This Privacy Policy explains how Routes Software SRL (“Routes Software”, “we”, “us”) handles data in connection with Denoise, which removes background noise from audio and video recordings: the app for iPhone and iPad, the app for Android, and Denoise for Mac, which collects no data at all (see Denoise for Mac below).
In short: your recordings are processed on your device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Denoise has no user accounts and shows no ads. The iPhone, iPad and Android apps send us a small amount of usage and crash data through Google Firebase so we can keep them working; on Android, Firebase also collects your device’s advertising ID. We do not sell your data.
All noise removal — including the AI models — runs locally on your iPhone, iPad, Android device or Mac. We never receive, upload, or store the audio or video you edit or record. The only content that ever leaves your device is what you choose to save or share yourself.
Some optional AI models (for example the one that separates vocals from music) are downloaded the first time you use them: on iPhone and iPad with iOS 26 or later from Apple’s servers, otherwise from our download server, hosted by DigitalOcean. As with any download, the server sees your IP address and which file was requested. Data flows only to your device; your recordings are never sent in the other direction.
To keep Denoise working and to fix problems, we use Google Firebase, which collects limited information that is not tied to your name or to any account:
If you buy Denoise Pro or export credits, the transaction is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We only learn whether your purchase is active, plus the product and price for our sales figures; we never see your payment details or your Apple or Google account.
If you use the in-app “Contact developer” option, your email app opens a message addressed to info@routes.tips. Anything you send us — your email address, your message, and the technical details the app pre-fills (the recording’s format and your app/device information) — is shared with us so we can help. We use it only to respond to you.
Denoise asks only for what a feature needs, when you first use it, and uses each permission only for that:
We rely on the following providers, who process the data described above on our behalf. Data may be processed on their servers, including in the United States.
Analytics and diagnostic data is retained according to Firebase’s configured limits and is then deleted or anonymized. We keep emails you send us only as long as needed to handle your request.
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps do not currently include an in-app switch to turn off analytics and diagnostics. You can stop all data collection at any time by deleting the app from your device. On Android you can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your device’s settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold, and to object to its processing. To make a request — or to ask us to delete diagnostic data associated with your device’s random identifier — email us at info@routes.tips. We do not sell personal information.
Denoise for Mac cleans the sound of calls, records the calls you choose to record, transcribes them, and cleans audio and video files. It collects no data: no analytics, no crash reports, no identifiers, no account. Everything above about Firebase applies to the iPhone, iPad and Android apps only.
Denoise is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
